About Us

Who We Are:

The Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club was announced as the 2010, 2008 and 2007 SA Surf Life Saving Club of the Year.

We also recently were announced the 2010 Clubs SA Best Small Club of the Year.

Glenelg SLSC is located at the foreshore Glenelg overlooking Glenelg beach.  We are next to the Beach House entertainment complex, with ample street parking or underground parking in the Care Park area.

Club membership is always growing and are seeking members to assist with the numerous activities which go into running a surf lifesaving club. From patrols, education, juniors, sport through to administration, fundraising, sponsorship and social activities to list just a few.

Many members come from the local and surrounding areas, but also from as far away as Two Wells and Pt Elliot.  Now is a great time to get involved and be part of the exciting times ahead.  Our social member base is growing rapidly since we moved into the new club, get on board.

Glenelg - Most popular South Australian beach

According to visitor statistics, Glenelg beach is the most popular in South Australia.  New members are sought after and always made to feel welcome.

The club offers a wide range of activities. Whether a competitor at heart or someone who enjoys spending time with friends soaking up the beach atmosphere, Glenelg SLSC is just what you are looking for.

Consider training to become a qualified Surf Life Saver, it's the best way to meet existing club people and make new friends, you also learn valuable life skills.

From ages 5 through to 100, we have something for everyone.

Become a Supporter Today

Glenelg SLSC also has a social/supporters  membership which runs in conjunction with the patrolling and competitive side of the club. This section of the club is a great way for members to socialise together, often in conjunction with the local community.

Come down and have a drink or a meal in the new club, non-members welcome. There is no need to "sign in" or anything like you see in the eastern states, we are open to the public just like any other licensed venue. For more information about our upstairs area click here.
